Since we had to leave the lodge one day earlier due to a bad weather forecast, we had two days in Winnipeg. We spent the first day exploring the city and visiting the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, which I can only recommend. On the second day we made an exception to the rule and went to the Assiniboine Park and Zoo. We are both not really zoo fans, but I had to see a polar bear before heading back to Germany and they have quite a number of rescue bears. Even if you get closer to them here, than anywhere else, I would have preferred to see them in the wild. Guess I will be coming back to Canada soon (don’t tell Felix 😉 ).
